Information Exchange Day

GSA Ireland will hold an Information Exchange Day, kindly hosted by OG Corrib in Galway city on Sunday August 6th.

The Information Exchange Day (IEDay) process will engage GSA Ireland members in practical dog training issues and several other important topics relevant to the WUSV and our organisation.

The aim is simple, to enhance members’ knowledge of the practical aspects of balanced dog training and various relevant topical issues such as, international matters relating to WUSV IPO rules, WUSV breeding regulations in effect now and into the year 2020, the ZAP test – Wesenprufung (Temperament Test), National issues relating to OG Office Bearing positions and about GSA Ireland’s continued development and maintenance of the Irish Breed Book and Registration system for the German Shepherd.

The list is not exhaustive and it is not the intention to cover it all on any one day.

It is hoped that the first planned IEDay will be not only informative in the practical dog training sense but also in regard to other matters such as the important World Harmonisation Progamme (WHP), its reasoning and implications for the breeding of German Shepherd dogs in Ireland.

The IEDay on Sunday 6th August is for the GSA membership, however, the National Executive hopes to hold an open forum with regard to informing interested GSD enthusiasts in Ireland about the WHP and its future implications in the forthcoming months, venue and location to be confirmed.

We look forward to sharing and discussing this information on these important topics and continuing with the IEDay process over the coming years and hope to see many members in attendance at these important events for the breed.
