Irish National IGP Championship 2026 

“My name is Ingrid Sanders, I am 47 years old and based in the Netherlands. I started in dog sport at the age of 13, which means I have now been active for over 34 years. What started as a hobby quickly became a lifelong passion.

Over the years, I have trained and worked with several dogs, always German Shepherds, and competed with them at different levels. I have guided dogs and handlers towards exams and competitions, and the journey of training and working together as a team has always been what I enjoy most about the sport.

In 2019, I started my own kennel, van de Kruikenstad, where I focus on breeding and working German Shepherds. Besides training, I have always been actively involved in the sport through different board positions, both at a local and national level.

Since 2017, I have been a board member of the VDH (the national German Shepherd club). In 2020, I became coach of the Dutch WUSV team, which I am very proud of. Since 2022, I have been active as a judge, and in 2025 I started as Commissioner for IGP sport.

At home, I have two dogs: one older retired dog and her daughter Alaaf, with whom I am currently training and continuing my journey in the sport.”
