SUMMARY:GSA Ireland Helper & Tracklayer Training and Licensing Event
DESCRIPTION:The GSA Ireland Helper and Tracklayer Training and Licensing Event will be held on November 2nd/3rd\, kindly facilitated once again by OG Waterside and its’ members – we take the opportunity to thank the club yet again for their assistance. \nThis year will again see the licensing judge Toine Jonkers (SV/VDH/Netherlands) joined by a panel made up of experienced GSA Ireland members. \n– ALL HELPERS wishing to retain their B Licence (club level) or upgrade to an A Licence (national level) are asked to attend both the training and licensing parts ON SATURDAY. A timetable will be forwarded in due course – attendance is compulsory in order to keep your licence or upgrade.\n– Helpers must bring their own clean scratch pants and jacket\, regulation sleeve and stick. Each helper wishing to licence or re-licence should be accompanied by at least one club dog capable of performing IGP protection routines – this may not necessarily be the dog that they work. Helpers must also be capable of working young dogs in training and we thank in advance\, those handlers who assist the event by allowing their dogs to be used – this event could not take place without your assistance. \n– TRACKLAYERS may retain their current places on the list as long as they have stayed active in the sport either by taking part in\, or officiating at trials\, although those wishing to newly licence as B Grade (club level) or those on the B Licence list who wish to upgrade to an A Grade\, must attend. Tracklayers must bring their own suitable footwear\, pole\, articles and writing materials ON SUNDAY. \n– HOWEVER we recommend that all helpers\, tracklayers and OG Working Wardens attend\, to appraise themselves of current rules and hear the advice of a serving IGP judge. \n– All potential tracklaying and helper licensees should be fully aware of the rules and regulations regarding their respective disciplines. \nAll attendees\, both helpers and tracklayers\, MUST be fully paid-up GSA members\, endorsed/recommended by their OG Working Warden. \nAs before\, training is envisaged to take place in the morning from around 10am\, with licensing in the afternoon\, on each day\, with a full timetable to follow. \nToine has agreed to facilitate informal dog training at OG Waterside on Friday November 1st for GSA members only\, please contact ogwaterside@gmail.com if you wish to attend.
